Russia – Resource Kit For Teachers

 

This kit is a ready-to-use collection of ideas and activities to help teachers generate interest and enthusiasm for the study of the Russian people and their culture.

 

The kit is composed of a CD and a 176 page notebook. On the CD, Sergei Shapoval, presenter of the Russian Kaleidoscope program, teaches students a variety of Russian words and phrases and the folk song, “Korobushka.” He also reads two traditional Russian folk tales in Russian. In the first section of the notebook, there is a printout of everything on the CD in Russian, Phonetic Russian and English. It is an excellent learning tool!

 

The remaining sections of the notebook offers information, patterns and activities about Russian art, cuisine, customs, alphabet, games and music. Every teacher will find helpful information to make the learning about Russian culture an easy, fun and exciting adventure in multicultural education.
