The art, music and culture of Russia have been hidden from western eyes for more than 100 years. Now, people have an immense interest in learning more about this fascinating country.

 

Sergei Shapoval, dressed in a traditional Russian folk costume, presents a multi-faceted program that gives the audience a kaleidoscopic look at Russia. The audience becomes actively involved by experiencing the Cyrillic alphabet, authentic music instruments and folk dancing.

“Out of the Dreamtime”


From the only continent that is also a country comes “Australian Kaleidoscope” with Aubrey and Martin Beggs of Long Jetty, New South Wales. They will introduce audiences to both the young nation of Australia that was federated in 1901 and the ancient land of the indigenous Aboriginal people who have lived there for at least 40,000 years.

The Cultural Kaleidoscope is proud to bring this spectacular and colorful educational program to you. Ireland's native dance is brought to life by rhythmic footwork and colorful dance costumes, spirited by the music of the Irish harp and traditional drum, the bodhran.

Ukraine is one of the leading farming, industrial and mining regions in Europe. This newly independent country has its own language, customs and one of the highest literacy rates in the world.
